The Sage

"I'm not sure about this..." Kay.C said as her younger sister Kenry placed the remaining scales on her forehead. Everyone knew a new sage had been discovered, but they didn't know how young.
"You'll do great." Kenry reassured her
Kay.C sighed "But I'm not how can I be the sage? I'm trained for combat and being part of a squadron. The Viperz is where I belong, I'm not ready to give that up."
"Terra Ixos needs a sage, that's you, whether you like it or not." for a fourteen year old, Kenry was surprisingly wise Kay.C thought.
"She's right," Aquarius said leaning against the door frame of her room. The Cobra had been Kay.C's home for years now, it only made sense that she get ready for the ceremony here.
"Aqua!" Kay.C said excitedly, standing and crossing the room to greet him. She threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tight. "I can't do this." She whispered.
"I know you're nervous Kay.C, but you're a great leader. You've taken up that role where I've fallen short as a skyknight, which is why you're ready for this responsibility." Aquarius kissed Kay.C's forehead. "Come, it's just about time."

Ixosians are a nearly forgotten legend across Atmos. Said to have incredible healing abilities, due to the scales that grow all over their bodies as they age. There is always one Ixosian, however, who has more scales than anyone. One who can give away their scales and accelerated healing power to those who desperately.
Something I might have to explain here. So Ixosians can grow scales, but they can arrange them any way they want over their bodies...
